As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. Being proactive is about being prepared and in control, always being ready to take the next step, and to solve a problem before it arises. If rules are enforced well, the classroom will have a predictable environment, less disruptions, and encourage students to use self-control and make positive choices.
